With electronic automatic flagpoles, the flag will automatically rise with the morning light from its storageposition within the pole and return with the setting sun. The pole is designed that it should never permit your flag to be exposed to the elements or fly in rain, snow or inclement weather. The automatic flagpoles operate by light sensitivity or it may be operated with a manual switch. The flag can fly at half mast by using the manual switch, or can be set to fly at half-mast for prolonged periods. If you have more than one pole, we can engineer them to operate simultaneously.

Standard Baartol Fittings

The electonic automatic flagpole comes equipped with a specially designed lite weight American Flag. These custom made flags are reinforced for longer wear and are readily available for the electronic automatic flagpole. The flag is attached to the halyard through the base motor housing doors. Poles 30 feet and over can be equipped to fly two flags. 5' X 8' flags used on poles thru 35' and 6' X 10' flags are used on poles over 35'.

The halyard is made of continous stainless steel cable with two delrin flag holders and stainless steel flag holder seperators between the flag holders. It has two stainless steel motor stops, one mounted on each side of the cable to turn the motor on and off. The halyard has an Anti-Furling device which keeps the flag from entwining in the halyard.

Entry system for the automatic flagpole is made of cast aluminum with easy access to the rollers. Entry systems contains two aluminum rollers with the rollers running on delrin rod. The flag is stored below the roller box inside the pole. The entry system is designed to structurally reinforce the flag entry into the pole.

Options Available

A manual hand crank system is a continous internal and external halyard with an anti-furling device, self stores flag in the hollow of the staff - operates on a gear driven continous internal and external halyard hand crank mechanized system. Hand crank is removable for security and protection of the flag and unit. Optional finishes: Clear Anodized, Bronze Duranodic, Black Duranodic, and Lustrapoly paint finish (can match any color)

*Note: Foundation information - Foundation depth is ten percent (10%) of the flagpoles exposed height. Foundation diameter is five times the automatic flagpoles butt diameter.
